Is Premium A+ Content worth it?

Now that Premium A+ content is available for all brands who have completed Amazon’s brand registry, the #1 question we get asked is whether upgrading to Premium from Basic is worth it.

Keep in mind, Amazon used to charge $100-200K for access to Premium A+ features so for us it’s no brainer to make the upgrade, especially while it’s free to access.

Why are brands hesitating?

In any business, there are always plenty of tasks to be done. Creating content can be time consuming so naturally it’s an easy item to leave at the bottom of the list when it come to priorities.

Brands often have to weigh the value of financial and time investment to refresh their content.

If you already have Basic A+ content on your product pages, is their additional value in creating new and improved content for Premium A+ on Amazon?

With that in mind, we pulled data from a random sample of our clients, across various categories to help us answer this crucial question.

And spoiler alert, the answer is YES. Upgrading to Premium is well worth the investment.

While Amazon reports that Premium A+ modules can increase sales by up to 9.7% due to the ability to add video content, our analysis is showing up to a 300% increase in sales when brands are upgrading their content to Premium A+ from Basic A+.

WHY is our data so much higher than Amazon's?

Amazon is likely taking a large sample of data. It would make sense that a large mix would vary greatly in terms of content quality.

Low quality content WILL NOT perform as well as high quality to obviously an average of poorly designed content and well designed content would result in lower overall performance data.

We only recently started tracking the data of going from basic to Premium A+, and with a sample size of only 8 this is admittedly small, but 100% of these brands saw increases in sales.
